The ads are bigger than my screen.

What can be worse than not being able to read the post because a giant Mario brother is blocking the post? Mario brother....like I care or would buy that. At least advertise something that might appeal to fishermen. And no matter how many times you X them out they come back. They even come up while writing this post. I would pay a fair charge to go ad free.

I get needing to generate revenue to keep the site running but it can be done better. Most of the other message boards that I use put the ads inline on the pages and are not a pop up that impacts the user experience.

Topic has been discussed before and bottom line is the adds pay the bills. Problem is the site has become so advertising heavy, it’s pushing the regular posters out.
Take the homepage for example. Currently 30 posts. 8 are regular posters the other 22 are sponsers. The really talented fishermen who posted years ago some really detailed and informative reports all bailed out. The information treasure trove this once was has been reduced to “slaughter, on the meat, epic day” nonesense

Just spoke to infolinks and they are going to lower the ad boarders heights on mobile devices so they don't take up us as much room and will remove their logos from the adds to make them smaller as well..
Some people told me that some of the ads would start out small and get taller so if you see one of those from now on please take a screen shot so I can see about having those ads removed.
Thanks

Update sent them some screen shots and they are having their developers look into shrinking some of the larger adds on mobile down further
