With the extra long holiday weekend I got out and took full advantage of it. Started it off Friday fishing the big pond for crappies. Water temps were cooled off more then they were few weeks ago. Had a pick going to start things off and got better as the day went on and water warming up. Ended with a tons crappies most of them around 10” with a few good ones mixed in.
Saturday hit the river for some pike. Soaked some baits for few hrs. He hooked up with three fish two that popped off right at the net and landing one ok one. moved down river trying an area and first cast my plug got creamed by probably one of the biggest stripers I ever played with. Saw the fish a few times got a real good look then she gave us the fin! Definitely gonna need a few jack n cokes to ease the pain this week.
Sunday after Easter dinner took the first night creep of the year and found some fish to play with. Only getting better from here on out! Pick your poison season is almost here guys. See ya on the water,
