Went sewer pipe fishing 🎣 in 52 degree Back Brook this evening on a cloudy, cold day with a strong west wind. Caught and released 7 bluegills to 8”, 4 male yellow perch to 10”, a 10” largemouth bass and a 9” black crappie with worms 🪱. Only used one of my three rods because of the constant action. Lost my rig on the bottom of the brook on the last cast of the day. A great blue heron flew down the creek. A belted kingfisher flew up the creek. A double crested cormorant flew over the lake. An oil slick floated out of the sewer pipe. Found a big dead beaver 🦫 while walking back to my car at night. Took pictures and put it on the guardrail. Reported it to Hamstat.
