Very good striper fishing this morning on the Gambler.
We headed South of the inlet this morning when I saw birds working from a distance. Our first drift lasted almost an hour with non-stop action. Jigs and lures that looked like sand eels worked best. The fishing slowed down by 11, but by then we were catch and release.
The stripers today ranged in size. We had bonus size, slot size and a few overs --up to 35" pool winner, which was released.
Tomorrow we are very light on bookings but we will be headed out at 7:30AM. It will be lots of extra room for anyone who doesn't mind some cold weather.
Friday and Saturday look like great weather.
Long range forecast for Sunday looking kinda sketchy.
Monday looks no bueno for weather
