Went carping in 79 degree Carnegie Lake this evening on a hot, humid, cloudy day with a moderate east wind. 4 intruders were in my spot so I fished on the Aqueduct until one of them fell into the lake. Karma is real. After they started fishing 🎣 to my right, I moved to my spot. Saw a fisherman catch and release a 3 lb bass. I caught and released 3 black crappies and a white perch with an orange 1/32 oz Big Eye jig and 1” purple twister tail on 2 lb test line. Found half a can of DelMonte whole kernel corn 🌽, then threw it into the lake. Caught and released 6 bluegills and a 22 lb snapping turtle 🐢. Landed 104 turtles this year. Only killed one mosquito 🦟. Got bit. Saw a great blue heron catch and swallow bluegills in my spot. Osprey were fishing nearby. Caught more than 2,500 fish 🐠 in NJ this year.

No, they bite on my corn bait while I’m trying to catch carp.
