PROWLER 5 OCEAN FLUKE REPORT 8-13-23
Hey Gang I got the call that I was running the boat today Captain Jack was a bit under the weather, but is doing better and will definitely be back at the helm next Sunday! Anyways after having 55 keeper fluke on Fridays trip, I was looking to have that same fishing today with a bunch of very good fisherman. We had a pretty big crowd comfortable to fish, we started where we caught fish on Fridays trip, seen a few but I could tell it wasn't going to happen there, plus the drift really wasn't great. So we took a long ride offshore into the deeper water, where Captain Jack beat on em last Sunday. We didn't have any luck today out there a handful of keepers, loaded up on big seabass, and had to start releasing keeper bass plus chub mackerel. We left the area, finally getting a good drift at the end of the day, staying out a little later but we just couldn't get the job done today. We ended the day with 12 keeper fluke, a boat limit with giant seabass (biggest ones of the season) and some short action which we didn't really care about today. I think they'll bite tomorrow, and I should have a better report for you guys. See you in the morning.
Thanks Captain Scotts
