Long day down in carcosa. Started off in the Salem canal/River area. Found an awesome spot & saw a few monster snakeheads. We saw no private property signs or no trespassing at this spot but the fellows at catalano farms said "this is a private driveway we don't let people fish here u need to get out." So that made me a sad 🐼

After that we learned every piece of freshwater in Salem County is apparently no trespassing. Found a drainage ditch on way back north looked like invasive heave but nothing but bluegills for dev. With the corn on the cob floating thought it was gonna be great.

Next stop up towards Greenwich lake. Fished a mucky swamp & after about 20 casts I got the most aggressive & angry top water hit I've ever seen but it missed the hooks. Nada after that, packed up went back to the old snake pit I fished with the cobra ages ago. Finally got my sexy invasive specie. Inhaled the frog & made some sweet runs got her in & told her she will be meeting a pan.

Big thanks to Eddie & Chrisper for the advice. Learned that turtles used condoms today as well. Eating him tonight will report back if I'm alive :)

You did the right thing by not releasing it, I just wish more anglers would do the same.

Great catch queenie! There’s more Snakes waiting for you abroad. Continue the hunt and don’t forget there’s some beautiful Bowfin in some of those waters as well. :D

shore angling really sucks down there, definitely need some swamp-craft to get around. Great job catching them from shore. Love snakehead fishing. For an invasive species, the locals really doesnt want you fishing for them in that area :P what are they protecting! :D hmmm hehe
