Recooked my second batch of corn meal bait for this year for the second time today because it was too mushy, then went fishing 🎣 in the Millstone River on the south side in West Windsor, NJ, for the first time this year. Threw out a can of corn 🌽 for chum, then caught nothing with whole kernel corn bait. Caught and released 2 yellow perch and 4 bluegills to 8.75” with a black 1/32 oz Big Eye jig and 1” chartreuse twister tail on 2 lb test line. Also landed and released 2 white catfish and a 6 lb channel catfish before I caught a small common carp on my last cast of the day with my thrice cooked homemade corn meal bait. Gave the carp to a Turk. Caught 28 carp this year. Fished in the world’s worst air pollution from the Canadian wildfires. Took pics. Mosquitoes 🦟 were still biting. Only saw 4 other fishermen.
