Seas were about 8 feet, and you couldn't see too far out. Never been more concerned in my life, but the captain was first rate as he always is, and managed to keep us safe and put us on the fish. Everyone learned the finesse of heaving over a rail without falling in, and I for one had an absolute blast, and caught some nice dinner.
It was opening day for Cod and Haddock, and for the next few weeks Haddock limit is 20 in the Gulf of Maine, so it was packed.

On the way out there were 8 foot swells, but once on the grounds much more manageable. Thanks for watching!

Reports just came back, the boat I go on with Eastman's Fishing Fleet reported a blood bath of giant pollock were caught today, 4/9/2023. I was pheasant hunting while my friends were catching monsters, I had the time of my life, I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else.
The bottom line, is 2023 fishing is looking to be the best in possibly my lifetime!
I uploaded the hunting video on my page if you want to see me miss a lot!
