After catching 3 bluegills and a yellow perch on my last 2 ultralight jigging trips, I went to flooded, 60 degrees Robert G Martin Lake this afternoon. My spot was a tiny island surrounded by floodwaters. Fish 🐟 were jumping out of the water when I arrived. Threw out corn for chum, then had constant action on my new 3 hook rigs. Landed a bluegill, 3 common carp to 4 lbs and 7 brown bullheads to 12.5 lbs with 12 lb test line on my Mitchell #300 spinning reel and 4 lb test line on my Mitchell Avocet ultralight spinning rod. Didn’t get a hit while ultralight jigging. Lots of crows were flying.
