Sunday we headed down to a few mill ponds in south Nj hoping to mix the catch up. Ponds were dead dead no bites so went to an old stand by WMA. Caught some strigoi but not like usual then i saw why..... pair of otters have taken residence along with some cormorants. I watch the otters eat pickerel like slim jims & saw cormorants with crappies & bass in their bills. Really sucks
Monday I was off so i went to do some exploring to places that produce mixed bags,but, Strigoi everywhere I went & were just evil! I went through 4 dozen minnows and a bunch of plastics and jigs. Fished union, johnson, Hammonton & lenape. Only other fish that nibbled was a small bass that got off at lenape. Also saw a shedded snakeskin lakeskide
Really feeling the loss of lake cockolla locally thanks to the homeless building a commune there and causing issues. Now its posted heavily & the cops come fast to kick ya off, talked to 1 guy & they actually wrote him a summons for trespassing. Its caused all the other lakes just outside of Philly to get way more pressured too
