First casts of 2023

Headed out January 2 for first trip of 2023. The 1st lake in coal mining country we hit did not warrant a single bite but dev netted 200 bluegill fry in 1 scoop of her I mean "my" new bait net. Went to perch pond found em back in a cove pretty good bite over 20 between us. As we left a car pulled in & the elder queen of Karen's told us we weren't allowed to be here but then said " you guys don't look that bad." Wonder what that meant? 🙄 every fish on 1 inch gulp minnows. Prolly play with some slimers this weekend
