Colonial Lake

Caught 2 bluegills, 2 golden shiners and a 6.5 lb common carp with canned whole kernel corn bait on a #4 long shank gold hook and 4 lb test line in 61 degree Colonial Lake this evening before and during a thunderstorm. Saw nearby lightning and immediately heard thunder then quit early at 6:37 PM. Landed 75 carp this year.

Hooked a monster carp on a doughball that I couldn't stop. Took me past the bowling alley like it was heading for the creek. I did land a large turtle that day.
