Looks like a heavier concentration in South Jersey, Central NJ, not so much North Jersey stocking. Many of the usual receiving lakes up here not on the list. Maybe that will help keep away the bucket brigades this Fall? However, after the Summer/early Fall drought, not sure what the Spring holdover #'s will look like. With the recent rains, water levels should be up nicely.

Plenty of holdover and wild trout in NNJ, they focus on South/Central in the fall to give those communities a shot. Most of those ponds/rivers down there get cleaned out real quick, where as I was still catching stockies in NNJ on accident in august while looking for native species. :D

are you thinking of the winter stocking? fall stocking is usually almost all rivers, winter stocking is all ponds and lakes

All true, just noticing the changes in the bodies of water getting stocked.
https://dep.nj.gov/njfw/fishing/freshwater/trout-fishing-information/winter-trout-stocking-information/
And the conspicuous absence of Shepherd Lake and Wawayanda in the Spring, Fall and Winter (lake/pond) stockings. Aeroflex, Green Turtle, Little Swarts, etc., were all stocked in the Spring and will be again in the Winter. No need to point out the LL salmon that Wawayanda gets because Aeroflex gets them too. Yes, should be plenty of holdovers too to keep one busy.

I'm seeing quite a few lakes and ponds on the schedule! But you're right that they do more of them in winter.
