Please help me extend a warm NJFishing.com welcome to the Hurd Family and crew of the party boat Miss Avalon www.missavalon.com

They fish daily from April - December from 8am to 3pm for Blackfish, Fluke, Seabass, Stripers and Porgies and are set up with double anchors for bottom fishing.

No reservations required

The Miss is Avalon is a 78 foot luxury fishing yacht powered by NEW, super-clean, twin diesels! They have the latest safety and fish finding equipment, a clean galley with tables and chairs and seating for 32, along with the cleanest restrooms on the ocean.

The Hurd family has been fishing for 70 years. Captain Irv Hurd is the 3rd generation captain in the family to skipper the Miss Avalon. He earned his captain’s license in 1981. His grandfather (captain Irv Hurd Sr.) started the Miss Avalon fishing business in 1952, retiring in 1972 after which Captain Uncle Jerry skippered the Miss Avalon until 2012 and was succeeded by Captain Irv in 2013. Captain Brandon Hurd earned his 100 ton masters license in 2016 and became the 4th generation skipper in the Hurd family.

Welcome team Hurd and I look forward to seeing you over the winter for Blackfish.

I’ve been fishing with the Hurds for 30 years.
Come see them in South Jersey.
The boat is minutes from Exit 13 on the Parkway.
Tons of easy free parking.
There’s a deli and bait shop at the dock (Moran’s Dockside).
And a Wawa on the way to the boat.
Always a great attitude.
Always a great crew.
They bend rods all summer with triggerfish and flounders on 4 hour trips.
But the Miss Avalom really has the blackfish dialed in every spring and fall.
Capt. Irv hangs two anchors every drop every trip.
He has hundreds of spots within 45 minutes from the dock.
- - just ask the Porgy IV regulars who are now Miss Avalon regulars - -

And yes - a fluke is a flounder in Cape May County.
