June 13 and 15 proved to be two of the best days so far. This one county lake I fish has seasonal weeds that die to the bottom in early June making it easier to use lures in different areas. Total catch so far for June is 322 fish - panfish and bass. I like modifying soft plastic lures and fishing them with light jigs 1/32 - 1/16oz. Here are a few that did well:

a clear plastic curl tail:

An idea I wanted to try involves dipping soft plastic lure bodies in hot plastic to thicken them. No doubt a good idea for murky water. Here are a few:

thick blunt tails did well, the action being a waddle similar to a lipped crankbait:

Which soft plastic is that clear one? And the one on the bottom with the two tone tail. I"m interested in using them early in the year on very clear water.

Thanks,
