I've been poking around the NWNJ bodies of water trying to find some more go to spots and stumbled across something pretty interesting. On my first visit I fished it for an hour and a half with nothing but a single bite to show for it, but thought this could be a good one to return to soon.

Went back this Sunday afternoon and it was really showing its true colors; I saw lots of large pan fish and some bigger bass as well. Ended up with 2 decent bass and 2 good crappie in a quick 2 hour trip, some of the most vibrant Black Crappies I've ever caught.

It was a crazy Spring for sure ! The bite was on then off again , hard to judge a place when it's like that. Good thing you stuck with it!

cool looking crappies, is that their spawning colors or they just be like that.

I'd say spawning colors, they were hitting more aggressively than the other fish too.
