Been hitting the tpike ponds as dev likes catching the big bluegills & i've been having fun trolling the b@$$holes. Guy wading in these ponds with 2 rods & tossing giant lures asked me what i was fishing for i told him mainly bass but with the 2.5-3inch baits gets ya panfish & any crappie that may be in the pond as well. Fella told me " bass don't eat that stuff." well after i put 5 12-16inch bass on the bank the fellow asked me what exactly i was using fish all caught on gulp nightcrawlers & gulp minnows weightless & size 1-4 hooks

Especially for pond stuff, those largemouth are used to slim pickings and tiny snacks.

exactly pond is maybe 3ft at its deepest & is fished HEAVILY Those fish seem to run from the Saturday morning bass pro lures & 40lb braid.4lb mono, small hooks they eat, I coulda been a d1ck to the dude but i shared my knowledge but something tells me it was the other way around he wouldn't of been so nice lol I swear you see an angler in waders at a drainage ditch ya just know what you're gonna get hahah
