Grandson and I hit the lake again this evening to glass calm conditions. Got a couple small Crappie, a 10" Bass, and lost a Trout on the straightaway. We walked to the dam and had a slow pick on dink Crappie. Right at dark I landed a Trout broke the leader and couldn't see to retie. Grandson Chris used his phone to retie the Crappie jig for me. My next cast I only turned the handle a couple of turns when my rod loaded up and the drag went off. After a couple of minutes a nice Crappie laid on the grass. Chris caught a couple more small Crappie by rollercoaster light. We caught 13 small Crappie, 1 Bass, 1 Rainbow, and 1 nice keeper Crappie.
The casting bubble/black-chartreuse combination accounted for most of the fish. The Castmaster caught the Bass and I dropped a Rainbow when he jumped off of that spoon.
