4/8/22- Hit the cockolla lakes after work muddy & high, fish were either tiny or slab, plus surprise cockolla cat. Devons fish is next to size 16eee boot for size comparison & if ya don't know how big my feet are just ask Joey Z.
4/9/22- Woke up & headed down to coal mining country in deep southern New jersey. Figured with trout opening & the bass run being ON! We'd have the lakes to ourselves but nope!
Arrived at Lake Hepburn & found the spot we wanted occupied so we did some exploring. Hiked a good bit may of even burned a calorie with not much to show 1 yellow perch for me & dev got some small pumpkinseeds & bluegills as well as a new turtle friend. Decided to look if the spot we wanted was open yet & it was. Well the sacalait were where we left em in November stupid fishing for 11-15inch crappie as many ya wanted. Dev even brought out the blowhole glass rod & was jigging em up right under us. As we drew a crowd we decided to head out & top off the day with some Bridesburg barracuda.
Went through every minnow we got from Sharkeys Bait and Tackle on the cedar ponds. No monsters but ur run of the mill coal mining country fish 12-18inchers. Made a detour & saw the famous palace of depression in Vineland.
ended the night with some 10% IPA's & my draft kings getting crushed perfect saturday
