Trout Opener 4/9/22, we got it in!

Rain, sleet, hail, snow, cold, warm, it doesn’t matter. We do this every year for traditions sake. Good times had by all every year no matter what. The river ran high but quite a few of us managed to scratch out a limit +++ of tasty Rainbow’s for the smoker. With the close by rivers super flooded there were a lot more anglers in the area but we managed to fish our same spots with most producing good numbers of fish. Pink worm did lots of damage as well as the orange power cheese. One of the guys had a good bite with plugs but I couldn’t get a plug bite to materialize. Stuck with the pink worm. It never fails. Great food, good fishing and another opener in the books! TIGHT LINEZ!!!:D

Nice work guys, conditions were tough throughout most of the State but like you said you have to keep that tradition alive ! I did ok early then switched to smallmouths.
