I went to a late season spot in the north western part of nj this weekend and found 6" 0f ice with a half inch of snow/sleet on top. the fish were a bit finicky but still were willing to play some. I fished in 6' to 8' of water with my #1 jig and got some decent fish for my efforts. i do not know how much longer i will find safe ice to play on so this might have been my last trip for the 2022 season.:( way to early for me to be saying that oh well not a bad season with 31 days fished and decent fish as well. Now it is time to get those jig-n-bobbers ready for the search for"EL CRAPO" maybe this is the year i get him he has eluded me so far, it is not easy to get a 16" 2lb plus crappie. I have included pis from today it was a nice day to be out on the hardwater.
