Hit the Trout ribbers for the first time since the Spring. Water was up on the Musky and there was a lack of action for sure. I felt rusty. Moved down stream and hooked a breeder Bow on my 2nd cast. Get this beast in between my legs and lift the rod tip only for my line to snap and the big fish of the day is now gone. Alien Bow was probably a solid 24 incher but when you fish without a net, shit happens!
Storms are brewing so I head back East a bit to hit the S.B. I like what I’m seeing, not too many leaves and a better water level. Plug, plug, plug away. Browns were smacking the plug really well with the front coming in. Couldn’t buy a Rainbow! That’s fine with me as the beast of the day was already lost. It’s history. Move up stream to some pocket water, Brown after Brown again. Ima liking this Fall Trout session! A bakers dozen of Browns came to my hand so far. I’m happy with the outcome but the storms not here yet so take a few more casts. Bam, feisty smash from a good fish. Not a breeder at all but fighting like it’s on a mission to break my line. No net, no waders so I gotta play this guy. I finally get color on the fish, nice Tiger Trout. Beautiful pattern and colors on this one and about 16 inches. Snapped a pic took a last look at the beauty and let it swim. Shortly after the storms came in and man were they intense. Holy Hail!
TIGHT LINEZ!!!!!:D
