View Full Version : Update on the driftboat build... ALMOST THERE!!!!!

Coming together very nicely and this thing is sweeeet!!!!! For sure gonna do a lot of damage up north out west and on the Delaware FISH BEWARE!

Whole boat but the outside is done. Throw a few more coats of epoxy resin to thicken the inside up and protect the wood. We flipped the boat yesterday and filled some voids sanding today and fairing the boat this week and ready for primer and paint in the next week or so. We also picked up a new trailer as this model kingfisher are wide boats so we found a dealer and picked the trailer up and some new sawyer oars. The next time I post will be the finished boat!

Mikey looks sweet, best of luck! Seems like a time consuming process but the outcome I'm sure is well worth the effort. Hope you have many memorable trips on her.

We got em capt!! Gotta have em... we actually got ones that it’s a cup/rodholder.

Toadfish Nontip koozies, Gerry. They're pretty reliable. I tend to tip over before they do! Hahaha...
