Gambler is continuing to catch fluke and sea bass in depths from 35 to 75ft. Not always consistant but most days have been okay fishing. Special guest star Todd Burger came out with us before the weekend and easily caught his limit and landed a 6.5lber. He was using a simple Gulp system, nothing fancy. On one of our recent afternoon trips, we landed a big king mackerel --beautiful, good eating fish. And on another, one of our customers fought and landed the biggest cutlass fish I have ever see --I believe it was over 5ft long.
Our night trips were slow this weekend. We read plenty of bluefish but they were hard to catch, for some reason. Besides a few blues, some sea bass were caught. Hopefully next weekend will be better.
