We were lucky enough to do our 2 weeks up in Lake George again this year.

After 10 years of half a$$ attempts I finally landed one of the Queen's deep water predators. Caught her in 85 fow without a spotlock trolling motor! The lake is always windy and only had a 15 minute window with no wind to make it happen. This fish qualifies for a NY Achievement Award at 30" and 10.5#. To say i was stoked is an understatement. Thanks to Chrisper for teaching me everything I know on how to jig these awesome fighting fish.

We patterned the greenies and had over 25 in one afternoon alone. Even caught the same fish 3 times over the 2 weeks. The fish up there are built different being short and super fat. Big fish came in at 4.5# and only 19". all the 16" fish weighed between 2.75-3.5#

Smallmouth were scattered and the bigger fish were only biting during low light conditions. We caught 3 fish over 18" (NY award) and dozens of spunky keepers and shorts. The rock bass as usual were tough to keep off the hook. Also caught a monster chain pickerel (1st time ever) that managed to escape the net. All fish released.

Duane......looks like a perfect vacation. Great pics and awesome fish. Some beautiful large and small mouth and nice lake trout. LG is a great fishery, you hit it right. Congrats my friend to you and Mrs. Squatch, now we all know where you get your skills from! Incredible how clear the water is up there as well. Did you see any landlocks caught or pike in the shallows? LL's are probably real deep this time of year.

I’ve never been to Lake George, but fishing trips like that always sound like a great way to unwind. I remember visiting this ranch-style resort in Central Florida where outdoor activities like horseback riding and archery were very different from fishing but still had that peaceful, rustic vibe. It’s incredible how connecting with nature can make a trip so memorable.

If you’re ever into a quiet getaway mixed with some adventure, places like Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo are worth considering. They have unique experiences like glamping and a rodeo. More about this resort (https://www.westgateresorts.com/hotels/florida/river-ranch/westgate-river-ranch-resort/river-country-water-park/) you can find on their site.
