Haven’t tried the Shrewsbury or Navesink yet. Rocky on the site has been doing well in Barnegat so you might look at some of his posts or send Jim a PM.

Thanks Gerry
I soaked two commercial pots for 5 hours in the Shrewsbury for a grand total of 7 crabs.

I did Navesink this week. First of 2021 for me. Yes Gerry is right Barnie is substantially better.
Sink was lots of sea cabbage. 4 to 1 throw back of undersized and pouch females. Not a good tide- all outgoing and 10k wind was the opposite direction from E-SE.
A couple of dozen. A few 6 inchers. The rest just at or above 4.5". The biggest two I caught were the pouch females (over 6 inches )that go back in.
If I had all the undersized retained would have had about 60-70 crabs.
Lots of females in the catch. Meaning higher than usually salinity for that part of the Sink attracting more females.
So.. there's your report.

Thanks Frank, that's pretty much what I've been seeing in the rivers. Barney it is.Might head down to Tuckerton and pull some clams as well.
