Just imagine being half in the bag, engaging in a nice romp with a mediocre bar wench... and suddenly, someone or something fish hooks you from behind out of nowhere, rips you outta the back seat of your 92 Ford Bronco and dunks you in a strange pool.

I don’t bed fish for bass, but if I went through the trouble of taking the kids out and the sunnies are on beds then I’ll just pinch the barbs down and put too much worm on the hook and let them have a blast. I don’t know if there’s any better introduction to fishing than that other than maybe a frenzied school of white perch.

That's the reason I don't fish the D for SMB in the spring or for browns/brookies in the later fall. Let them do their thing and generate future generations to catch.
