I've been driving all over the state the last two weeks, fishing for anything and everything with mixed results. Caught a bunch of stockies during the catch and release period, beautiful fish this year. Met up with Luke a few times and he showed me some of his home waters, which was pretty awesome. He had an epic catch and I got a few slab crappie.

The second trip down there was a bust, but got to see some NJFers and learned a lot as well!
This past friday Nick and I took out his new boat, aka Scoward's old boat, and we had very limited time. Nick put a laker on the deck pretty quick, and shortly after I hooked into somethign that felt pretty small at first. Once we saw it, and it saw the boat, it started freaking out and so did we cause we realized it was a Salmon! Got it in the net and it hit 20.5in on the tape. My first Atlantic Salmon and a lovely specimen from the great garden state.

Today I got invited out on a striper charter, along with my father-in-law who was also celebrating his birthday! The bite was very tough with only a few fish landed all day, but luckily I was able to snag a 26 incher.

I'm going to keep grinding and hope to get on a bunch more fish over the next two months. Tight lines all!!! :D
