Trout Opener recap! Lots of fish! 4/10/21

We had a good crew of about 15 people out there again this year. Started the fire around 7 am as the boys started to roll in. Not many people out there this year. Of course the tunnel pool was packed with 50 people but we always manage to have the upstream stretch to ourselves. The fish were eating a bunch of different baits, it didn’t seem to matter considering how loaded the rivers are. I must add that the catch and release period didn’t seem to do much harm to the opening day fishing. I probably caught upwards of 40 Rainbows but nothing huge. The biggest went around 14 inches. Jeff was the pool winner of the day bringing in a whopper at 24 inches. Hell of a fight the alien Rainbow put up. I’ve never seen Jeff so happy. We grilled and chilled with Buffalo Burgers and Chicken parts marinated in Oyster sauce and spices. The chicken was delicious JimmyMas and thanks for bringing the burgers Jeff. 7th annual Trout Opener for FrankieV went very well. Still miss that kid very much. He sure did bless us with a ton of fish this year. Good times had by all and definitely looking forward to doing it again next year. Keep tradition alive people. It’s good for the mind, body and soul. TIGHT LINEZ!!!:D

YEA man looks like a good time was had by all and some quality fish nice pool winner as well. love that umbrella that is a classic:D good food nice fire and good company in memory of a fellow fisherman that loved to trout fish great job as usual eddie, frankie is smiling down on all in attendance:cool:
