Went out Thursday morning after the heavy rains. Found a nice shallow cove with good action in 1 to 3 feet of water. Landed 10 or so gills. In between the gills ide land the occasional tank crappie. The biggest went at 13" and round n fat!! Slip bob set up with a 1/16 green jig and a pink Berkeley ice minnow 1". The wind n ripples caused enough action to get the bites. Once the wind died n the water was still...the bite was over.

Follow up. Hope NJ. Water temps were prime for a pre spawn bite.... 55 to 56F. Landed bout 60 fish between 3 people on yaks. Same 1/16th jigs but with chartreuse gulp minnows this time. 3 to 5ft of water. The spawn will begin any day now I think...
