My partner hadn't caught a pickerel so we took a quick after work trip to knock another specie off her list, fished a lake close over the bridge. landed a few & missed more, watched 8 other peeps get skunked at the same spot so guess we were lucky. gulp & sluggos got our fish

yes i see, there was one spot on the raritan last year where i had to pick off a bunch of baby ticks off me through not even a lot of plants. Must have been 60+ luckily all on my pants and shoes and nothing got to my skin

REAL NICE! That was my go to lake when I lived down there (10+ years ago). I was talking to my pops about going there when I visit South Jersey, and he was like, "WHY?" ...lol...said the bucket brigade cleared out all the fish awhile back. I know it's pretty limited fishing there from land, so yous made out great in front of an audience! Would love to float a yak to the back in that place :D
