KSVP ice report

Took a few friends out to KVSP for a full day of ice fishing fun this Sunday. Beautiful day with mid 30s n sun by noon. Cold cold cold and frozen hands at 645 am. Overall it was slow (blue bird skys and the pressure was rising most of the day). 7 inches of solid ice. A few more of white.
We only managed 8 fish between 5 people.
I missed 1 flag and that was that. One friend jigged a crappie using my Garmin on Flasher (just like the YouTube vids...awesome). My other friend had a multi species day... 1 pickerel.. 1 bass... 1 crappie... and a bonus jigging bass too using the Garmin. Hellz ya! Nxt buddy had 1 pickeral and 2 bass! His 1st iced fish ever. As for me and my buddy Ry... we had bacon wrapped sausages...kielbasa n pickeled pickerel....Ha!

Friends and food is what ice fishing is all about! Catching fish is an added bonus.

fish and food on the ice it does not get much better than that. Blue bird skies and rising pressure makes for a tough day but you guys made the best of a beautiful day out on the lake well done.

Nice catch guys! You got a few and had fun doing it. Nothing better than the outdoors with good friends and food. Love it! :D
