New Ice Fishing Reporti

Hit the ice yesterday. Found 3 inches of ice. Windy conditions made fishing tough. Chased more wind swept gear than flags. Only managed to catch 3 perch, all on tip-ups. No activity jigging, just one missed strike. About a dozen people out on the ice in the area I fished. Not a lot of activity. Fun just to get out there though.

I was out there today. You aren’t kidding about the wind. I kept my sled with me at all times after watching people chase their stuff across the ice all morning. A couple old timers called it quits after about 30 minutes. I had action but it was slow...but fun to be out on a solid 3-4 inches. No lack of participation today on the big pond.

Yep that wind was fun. it was blowing me across the ice when i just stood there. No cleats as the ice was thin about 3 and a half inches so i did not have the cleats on. No fish on the jig rod for me as well so i started the 2021 season with an old skunk-a-roony:rolleyes: however i am going out today to see if i can kick the skunk.
