Sunday Canoe/Tuesday Troutin'!

On Sunday I was finally able to get out in Nick's canoe for the first time. Needless to say, when the boys are on the water the fish are scared! Nick quickly broke the ice with a nice crappie and continued to be on them all day.

I was able to land 5 species, including one of the biggest NJ perch I have ever seen in person. Nick luckily had a ruler, and I have my first NJ Skillful Angler worthy fish! 13" and FAT!

Also ended up catching my PB Pike and crappie as well, all in all a STELLAR day on the water. Thanks again for the invite Nick! Sorry I caught all the fish :D

Tuesday I had off to go to some doctors appointments I had been putting off, and luckily had time to kill between them. I hit 3 streams, had great results with the browns and a little surprise smallie! Forgot my net though which i hate to do. The last brown I caught was a bruiser, no real measurement but it could've been my PB. Guess i should keep better track of these things, but I just like to get them back in the water!

Fishing this fall has been ON FIRE for me, I wish it would never end!!! Get out there! Be safe! Tight lines all!

That's a killer perch and pike Brandon, both pretty well fed too! Solid brown looks post-spawn? it's a long one.

Haha I actually went for my first swim ever this weekend. Luckily it was right next to the car as I was getting out of the canoe. The 45 degree water was pretty refreshing :D

I went out once a few years ago with Chris and Justin, it was a slow day but I liked it! I keep my ice picks under my car seat at all times so I'm ready! Now we just need some real ice! :D

I had some dink crappie to keep me busy, but Brandon definitely had me on both quality and quantity haha. As much fun as it is to catch fish myself, I think its pretty awesome watching other peoples reactions when they catch too
