Nice work, those trout in there taste great I’m not gonna lie. Not like a runway fish from the streams that’s for sure!

Do you care to share your fishing techniques? I'm not interested in where but am always willing to learn how it's being done successfully.

Thank all. Billfish PM me and I will fill you in on my technique. I’m by no means a master fisherman just happened to be my best day ever at RV from shore maybe the moon and stars were aligned. :D Also, I was there 2 other days last week since I was burning up unused vacation days and had already filled my permit bow buck tag. Each day I caught 1 trout, a brown on Wednesday and a rainbow on Friday.

One week ago I got skunked. This past Sat. caught a 14" smallie. Today landed a 24" laker.

24 inch laker is great, and from shore too nice

Nice to hear of a laker. In my experience, they come in close to shore when it gets really cold, low 20's or colder, but I don't know why that seems to be the case. It's not like the water gets dramatically colder without freezing. Once the surface gets down below 39.2, its warmer at the bottom. We had a week just before the reservoir froze when we had lakers on each day, and each of those days was in the 20's or colder. Other examples I could cite, too, but especially that week.
