Please keep our long time board member and fellow fishermen Gypsy (Steve) in your thoughts and prayers. He’s going though a long and difficult battle with cancer right now and just out of a recent surgery. More fighting and long road ahead for our brother.

Hang in there Steve thoughts and prayers for continued strength, courage and speedy recovery headed your way.

First of all I want to thank all of you, this cancer took us all by surprise, the surgery is done the pain intense, sending me home Wednesday. Most of all I want to thank Gerry, a stand up guy, he's always been there for anyone going through troubles. Hopefully by spring I'll be ready to hit the fish hard. Thanks for all the prayers, they help. You always think it will never get me, but how wrong I was, can't wait to heal and the pain to go away, long road for me yet. Thanks for all the well wishes, good luck to all , season will be done before you know it

Released yesterday to go home, blood work was perfect all along, figures yesterday my white cell count shot up. Surgeon thinks possible infection, going for lab work tomorrow, then possibly another cat scan, I'm on a feeding tube 12 hrs, threw it out there, asked surgeon if I could go fishing, he said bring a lot of snacks and eat every 1\2 hr. Call me crazy I may just push it on next nice day, I have a driver, may try point Inlet again on a nice day. Let you guys know when, it'd be ice to meet up, really weak right now, hopefully in a week or two.
