Baitcasting for flukeing Navesink, Shrewsbury and the bay. Matching with an Ambassador 5500. For an important birthday so cost is not paramount. Thanks in advance.

These are my go to in MH. They go on sale a couple times a year for 35-40 dollars if you aren't in a hurry.

If it's for a special gift have Kevin Bogan make a custom rod.

Ditto on Kevin Bogan. He can use what ever color wrap you want, put their name on it, etc. He's made 4 custom off shore rods for me (some are nearly 20 years old) and they have held very well.

Thanks all. He has 3 Kevin Bogan made rods now. I offered to get him any rod he wanted for fluking including an Edge Rod by Gary Loomis. Basically he said the way he destroys fluke rods (3 in the last 5 years) he couldn't ask me to spend that amount of money. He chose a St Croix Mojo inshore 7 foot MHF which I'm getting this morning at one of this site's sponsors. Hope the coffee is warm. Thanks again for all inputs.
