Left the marina around 8:30 to find heavy fog. I decided to hit a wreck in the bay and it paid off. Mostly small fish with a few keeper sized fish mixed but at least it was action. Eventually the fog lifted and it was game on to hit my spot out in the ocean. We where greeted by a big swell but it was spaced far apart so it was doable. Finally got to my spot and anchored up. It took awhile and dropping more line to finally find a spot with fish that wanted to bite. In a short time it was none stop action. I must have caught over 20 keeper sized blackfish up to 6lbs with the average size 2- 3lbs. My fishing buddy John did well considering this was his first time blackfishing. He caught on quickly. We keep 2 and released the rest to fight another day. All and all it was a great day. It's only gonna get better. Tight lines!
