Weekend hybrids/trout

Snuck the new girl out Friday to see if the less boat traffic would help the bite out... this year things have been off with the brids, I know guys are catching em but 5-6 fish a trip doesn’t cut it! I’m in it for the chaos Of multiple players on at one time ��. Well it started out good first pass thru and I had 4 on by myself here we go! I’m thinking... NOPE!!!!! It was a Slow grind the rest of the day With a single here and there. Between the bait dying, the algae bloom being pretty bad and heavy boat traffic this year it just wasn’t what it’s been in the years past. The water got super warm seemed they bit better first light and last light. Aghhh maybe one more time for me there this year. Today I needed a change of pace and test the new ride to see if she could handle the 16 rod spread at the land of the valley. She did it! Gotta tweak it just a bit. Rolled up and down mostly over 50-80 feet water back and forth and put a dozen or so bows in the boat a nice brown and few catfish that were pretty hungry. It was a good bite from 630-11 then it died. It really fished pretty good for hot summer month.

We stocked that fish with the club... we been putting 200-250 of them in a year at like 10-12”

Mini Mamba is a smooth ride! I like it!!! At least you got a few Cap’n! And yep, 5,6,7 Hybrids out there is definitely a slowwwwww day compared to what we’re used too! Some peeps just don’t know! LOL!!!:D
