The Fisherman Magazine just printed an article called "Minnie Mouse Trout" about fly fishing using home tied mouse imitations. The author was targeting brown trout at night in streams. This sounds like a lot of fun to me and I would like to try my hand at it. I do not want to spot burn but can anyone recommend some places where I can go try this?

Was this joe cermele/ hook shots? I know they did a video on nighttime mousing on the upper Delaware, that was a fun one. You could probably do it with any bass too. Might be worth to do it on the lower south branch raritan.

West Branch of the Delaware ! Prime area for decent browns day or night ! I fished the WB for many years when I owned a fishing lodge on the WB ! Big Browns are taken under certain day time conditions , the type rain supplied by this TS awakens the big Browns in daytime
I used love this type heavy rains to get a big brown , they aren't huge but a big one is 5+ lbs ! I used big streamers matched to 9' # 6 rod and Teeny 250 fly line ! Short leader no more then 5' 8-10# test is fine . Hi water make them really aggressive and this type waster can rival any night time deal on the WB !

You can dig in through the channel and see a podcast more about it, Joe goes into great detail there.
