Was able to get out of work today for an AARP Fluke Trip on Henry's Parker the Honeybee. Myself, Les , Larry and Henry were the crew. Beautiful day on the water with light N winds albeit a bit HOT out on the drift.
Henry got us on some great bottom in 50+ ft up north. Bite was a little sluggish as they wouldn't commit right away. After a few shorts Les stripped up some Robins which I immediately put on and the right ones started to come ( for ME that is):p I paid my Colonial Penn insurance and reverse mortgage before I left the house!
3OZ bucktail with pink shine and robin strip with a spearing on the bottom hook, Nuke chicken on the top hook with a spearing got me a limit of fluke by 10AM. Added another keeper an hour later ORL. Henry put our 5th in the boat as well
Larry started off hot with some nice seabass. No one told him we were Fluking! Not really sure what Les was doing all day:p
Bounced around a few more spots on the way home without much doing.
By 12 our Doctor Scholls got wet, the morphine wore off and nap time was lurking so we called a day LOL. Not bad for a few hours with great people.
Every time I get out there I think this is what life is meant to be and grateful to be able to do it often with friends. Life is short GO FISHING
Thanks Henry.
