Weekend Surf

Took off work on Friday and tried to fish as much as I could this weekend near Lavallette. Tons of bunker around and saw a few whales feeding close to shore. Theme of the weekend was dogfish. Unfortunately hooked into 6-7 on clams and bunker. Couldn’t get rid of them, they are a pain in the ass. Did get a blue on a pencil popper fishing sunset on Sat night. Hope everyone was able to wet a line and enjoy the weather.

Anyone have any luck in the surf this weekend?

I tried bait for 2 hrs Sat no hits fro 6-8 am

I did see a fellow catch a beautiful 20" fluke on buck/gulp.

The problem with soaking bait when the water warms up- dogfish and skates.

I fished MoCo on late Saturday afternoon till about 9:00 pm. Got caught in the downpour and had zero to show for my efforts. 4 others around the same area didn’t catch anything either. Water was clean, but zero baitfish around.
