Went out yesterday with no real plan. Wanted to try fluking out front in shallower water to see if that bite was starting but the drift was too fast with a stiff NW. Decided to switch to bass trolling worked monmouth beach, sea bright, shrewsbury rocks area and came away with a couple really nice fish including my personal best. 48 inches 26 inch girth, 44 on the boga. Fish hit a red head / white body williamson diver. I think most other boats were pulling spoons.
