Daughter's PB Striper

Hey everyone. My daughter, who is 11, and I went out this morning for stripers on Capt. Dave's The .Net out of the Highlands. I am one proud Dad, my daughter caught her PB striper all on her own. Capt. Dave and Capt. Chuck were awesome and worked very hard to put us on the fish. We cant wait to get back out with them!. My daughter got hers, I had a striper that came off, but we ended the day with a keeper fluke in the box.

In my opinion that picture and story is what fishing is all about and why recreational rights to the resource need to be preserved. You had a day both you and your daughter will remember your entire life, congrats on your daughter's personal best and for taking her fishing and spending quality time. It's what matters most in life, something we should never forget. Great report! That's a million dollar smile!

The first fish I ever caught I was 6 years old on the now gone Long Branch Fishing Pier. A porgy that to this day I still remember. My dad used to take me fishing there about twice a month....we used to stand next to the fillet/bait cutting table and you know I can still smell that table to this day.

Ah memories. Kudos on your fishing trip and I'm sure your daughter will never forget that fish and will tell her story to all her friends. THAT is what fishing is and should be all about. Totally agree with dakota on previous post.

Thanks Cap! She's still talking about it. She's turned in to a pretty good fisherman already. I'm teaching her now how to filet her own fish. She loves it. Always wants to see what the fish has been eating. Great memories being made

Cherish the moment now and you will be rewarded again later as she will grow up quicker than you can imagine but you will discuss this trip throughout your lifetime.
