I like to call the millstone the passaic of the raritan watershed; a slow and muddy river (from the spots ive been too) but it holds all the hardcore, diverse, fish you find in the Raritan/canal.
I dont fish it often, but love how it looks and I should more.
The Millstone can be feast or famine ! A lot of diverse fish, some members of the sunfish family I've never seen before . I've also caught spotted bass there, but it can be tricky and frustrating at times. Caught some HUGE bluegills there!

Thanks Dan. I'm near it 5 x a week. Didn't know if it was worth bringing a pole along.

I've seen some big carp in there, and lots of them.

Lots of carp, channel cats, with some large and smallmouth bass and walleye.
