Caught 78 fish the past 3 days with corn on a #8 gold hook and 4 lb test line in a municipal park that was closed until last Saturday. Constant action fishing is lots of fun.

Wow Nice Catch! What park is that if you don't mind me asking? Looking to take my grandson for some carp but haven't had any luck yet, first time trying for carp this year. Any suggestions for carp in or near somerset county?

Veterans Park in Hamilton, Mercer County. Didn’t catch any carp or goldfish there this year yet. I caught a 9 lb mirror carp in Carnegie Lake and 14 lb, 11 lb and 10 lb common carp in the Millstone River on corn meal this year. Try the Raritan and Millstone Rivers in Manville. There are videos on YouTube of carp fishing in Somerset County.
