ShadHarris | Gap to Millbrook Village | Tuesday April 7th 10:31 am
PSA - "real time" update on the section of road from Rt 80, through Worthington, to past Poxono ramp, to Millbrook Village. Entire stretch is being shut down by state and feds, due to excessive garbage left by HIKERS causing health hazard due to virus. My buddy just got turned away at Millbrook section of Old Mine road as he was heading to Poxono. Last few times I been over there including yesterday never in my life seen so many people out and about hiking... Well the effing slobs ruined it for us fisherman!!! This is closing off a major section of shad fishing for boaters and shore fisherman!!!!

was at RVR last week for a couple hours fishing from the shore , never in my life have seen so many people/crowds there , looked like a school field trip with loud obnoxious inconsiderate parents that don't know how to parent , the typical idiot dog lovers throwing sticks and rocks in the water right next to where im fishing , and oh yes a definite uptick in the amount of trash along the banks/trails … smh , watch the crowds tick down when the ranger cove fee season starts

Typical, but not unwarranted. Sucks that the fishermen get the shortest end of the stick, but there are a lot of "fishermen" out there who do the same thing. Can't tell you how many webs of mono I've collected off the ground over the last year alone.
"Hikers" are even worse though, the ones who hike once a year with a picnic basket and dump all their trash. Disgusting.

Yup this state wins a prize for having the most considerate, law abiding citizens..........NOT.
I saw two slobs do that today ! I yelled but they knew the river was to deep in that section for me to cross!!!!

Uhm, hey guys it not just hikers, fisherman are slobs too! I fished c&r trout three times and was appalled at the empty liquor bottles, beer cans, worm containers and other assorted trash that I saw stream side. Don’t point fingers, there are scumbags everywhere!

While I completely agree with you ,I'm happy to say I saw none of that in four pre-season short trips....lots of ppl but all respectful and no littering....i fish diff areas than you but I waz very happy with the "public" that I encountered

Not surprising. I agree with Hookmanski, Adrenalinerush, and bigfishy. Ppl suck, don't matter who. I hate everybody the same, no discrimination. That being, said I'd rather see my own local spots with barriers and no entrance signs than getting abused by garbage & trashy ppl. In a sense, I've been the "Batman" to my local spots, ridding them of unwanted vacators in ways the law cannot.😇😈
