Took a walk around the lake at Kennedy park in Sayreville with my younger daughter. No bait just walking and casting. She was throwing a rainbow blade spinner and I was using a 2 inch shad on 3/8 jig head. We caught 8 pickerel from 10 to 18 inches. She had 5 to my 3 and all of hers were bigger. Nice to spend a little outside time.

pickerel should be our state fish :D once brook trout go extinct :eek:
