Weekend of crappie and troutin

With all this stuff going on with the world right now I was really looking forward to fishing this weekend... hitched up the mamba and returned to the big lake to get into some more crappies. Fished sat and Sunday Saturday night I got out early and off early and took advantage of the early trout stocking action the state did this past week. Saturday it took some time to find em but we made out with a limit. Jigs n bobbers worked the best these fish were crashing on a School of bait both days, with some bigger ones mixed in then the last couple trips... we need this silly weather to be normal already!!!! Ditched the BOat sat and hit up the north branch to see what the state dumped in for us to play with. Worked my spot on the north branch three plugs power bait and spinners. The plug was too big they kept swiping at it but were not getting hooked. I threw on a small spinner and it was game on all small guys 9-11 but fun to play with on the ultralight and nice change of pace. A lot of good options are gonna be happening in the next few weeks hopefully this war is over soon. Be safe and stay healthy guys! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Awesome man. Great slabs and trout. Stocking up on groceries. I haven't eaten crappie in a while...I'm gonna have to stick a few in the cooler soon.

There he is! Those slabs are simply delicious. Great catch! Looks like the little Rainbows are abundant all over NJ. Sure sign that I will be putting my Trout rod away til next fall. Lol!:D

It was good to see you out on the cong the other day. If the weather stops yo-yoin then things should shape up to where you will be catching crappies on two rods at a time, it takes some getting used to but i am sure you will get the hang of it also i knew you would find some time to get some trout fishing in.
